What is social entrepreneurship?

Social entrepreneurship is about driving social change with business means. The success of a social enterprise is ultimately measured in terms of the social impact it creates - profits come as a side product.  Social entrepreneurship will increase in near future, because public sector, non-profit organizations and traditional businesses cannot tackle all societal challenges alone. Be a Change is an event that is directed toward supporting aspiring entrepreneurs to pursue and develop their ideas and essentially help emerging social enterprises.

Be a Change in a nutshell

Many people want change, but for various reasons, it is always another story to implement it, and still another to achieve it. Luckily, it came in a breakthrough for a few young Finns that the key to making the world a better place is to first stimulate people’s passion to be a change. 

In 2008, Be A Change was established as one of the main projects in AIESEC Finland. During its life, the project has brought together bright young minds, aspiring entrepreneurs and creative individuals from all around the world to converse and exchange ideas. 

In a nutshell, we are a three-day social entrepreneurship idea competition and conference that is held annually in Helsinki, Finland. This year, Be A Change will be organized for the first time in Tampere.
