Local committee activities

LC Tampere organizes many kinds of events for its members. Below is a brief description of different events. Individual events can be found in the event calendar.

Regular events

LC Meeting – Every second Tuesday, alternates between the city center and Hervanta. Can include many different kinds of content from training sessions and seminar planning to theme parties.

Movie Night – Organized roughly once per month, usually in Tampere University of Technology in Hervanta. The movies shown are mostly the kind of international movies that you can’t see in a theater.

Team / training events

Team meeting – A weekly or biweekly meeting with your team. Sometimes more business-oriented, sometimes just fun. Find out more about our teams in “Join a functional team”.

Training – We organize many different trainings for our members. Sometimes the trainers are other AIESEC members with skills on a specific field, sometimes they are experts outside of AIESEC. You can learn skills such as sales, marketing or perhaps website updating.

Functional weekend – This is where you get together with other AIESECers from around Finland who are working on the same things as you are, such as sales or communication. A mixture of trainings, group work and fun.

Information events

Info evening – At the beginning of each semester we have info evenings in the schools where we are present. In this 1-2 hour session you get basic information about AIESEC and why you should join us. Open for all.

Orientation sauna / orientation day – A more detailed look at what AIESEC Tampere has to offer and what you can actually do with us after you join. Also open for all, don’t worry if you missed the info evenings.

Local AIESEC Seminar – This is your first big AIESEC experience after you join. You get to spend a weekend with many other new members and some old ones. This is where you really get to the core of AIESEC and can also start to figure out which of our teams might be right for you.

Other events

Aside from the ones above we have loads of other events that are more or less one-of-a-kind, such as parties, sporting events or trips. You should also check “seminars” for a look at our local, national and international seminars.
